On Monday, our school board approved the hiring of Simon Brown for Fremont High School. Simon will work alongside Mr. Sherbondy as the Assistant Principal for the 2026-27 school year, and then become acting Principal beginning the 2027-28 school year.
Simon is a 2013 graduate of Angola High School where he played multiple sports. After graduation, he moved to Fort Wayne, IN where he attended IPFW. He earned his bachelor’s of science in secondary education in 2018 and began teaching with Fort Wayne Community Schools at Towles New Tech Middle School. He taught 8th grade social studies for 5 years while also coaching cross country, basketball and track & field. Simon earned his master’s of science in education and building supervision from PFW in 2024. He then served as assistant principal for one year at North Side High School and one year at Wayne High School.
Simon and his wife, Allison, have two daughters, Maeve (2) and Molly (1). Outside of work, Simon enjoys spending time with his family, golfing and watching sports. He is excited for the opportunity to be a part of the Fremont community.
