Leading the way

Fremont Community Schools is thrilled to embark on the 2025-2026 school year with an exciting enrollment of 1,001 K-12 students—marking the first time in many years that our student body has exceeded 1,000. Notably, approximately 212 of these students are transfers from other school corporations, representing 21% of our total population. We are proud to be one of the few school corporations experiencing growth in enrollment, reflecting our commitment to excellence in education.

The State of Indiana recently announced the results of high school juniors passing the English and Math benchmarks on the national SAT test. 24.5% of students across Indiana met both benchmarks, while a remarkable 52.3% of Fremont juniors exceeded them. Fremont High School proudly ranks as the sixth highest among public schools in Indiana, with four larger high schools achieving higher scores. Notably, Fremont is recognized as the highest-rated “A” , "AA", and "AAA" school in the state.

In our elementary school, 94.5% of 3rd graders successfully passed the IREAD 3 reading test, showcasing one of the best percentages in the region.

In an exciting initiative, the middle school has developed a plan that will enable students to earn up to four high school credits before stepping into high school, further enhancing their educational journey.

Our achievements extend beyond academics; Fremont Community Schools excels in extracurricular activities as well. During the 2024-2025 school year, our teams secured four sectional championships and a conference tournament title. Additionally, our Academic Super Bowl math team proudly placed 4th at the state competition.

Fremont remains committed to providing dual credit college courses in small class sizes, delivered by our exceptional on-site staff. We also offer vocational certificates through the Impact Institute in Kendallville, allowing our graduates to leave high school with an impressive 60 college credits.

Together, we continue to lead the way in providing quality education and fostering student success!
