📵 New Indiana "Bell-to-Bell" Cell Phone Law and What FCS Families Need to Know 📵
Beginning with the 2026-27 school year, all Indiana public schools are required to implement the stat's new "bell-to-bell" cell phone law (Senate Enrolled Act 78).
A few important things to know:
Students may still bring their cell phone or smartwatches to school, however, the devices must be powered off and stored during the school day, unless an approved exception applies.
This is not a policy created by Fremont Community Schools- it is a requirement under Indiana Law that all public schools must follow.
Our goal is to comply with state law while maintaining a safe, focused learning environment where students can thrive.
Thank you for your continued support as we prepare for another successful year!
