FMS Teacher - Mr. Kuespert
Kevin Stoy from Stoy Farms came in to talk to 8th Graders about business, finance, and economics as part of Junior Achievement.

We are on the home stretch of our School-Wide Fundraiser here at FMS with just six days left to buy Fall catalog items, as well as Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Dough. Your support so far has been tremendous, and we are so grateful!
With your generosity, we've been able to raise over $10,000 so far on online sales only, and we need that final push to reach our goal!
Please see any FMS student, and they will be able to show you how you can purchase these items, either by paper, or online.

8th Grade Science - Mr. Shepard
This week we've been studying properties and characteristics of matter in science class. Today we learned about hydrophobic (water fearing) and hydrophilic (water loving) properties of soap molecules as well as the reduction in surface tension of water. We then tested if various brands of dish soap made a difference in the size of bubbles that could be created. Students had fun and gathered data to test their claim on bubble size.

Thank you Grandparents for a fantastic turnout this morning at FMS for Grandparent's Day!

Thank you so much to those people who have already supported the FMS School-Wide Fundraiser. With your help we have already totaled more than $7,000 in online sales.
There is still time if you would like to support. Find any FMS student and they should be able to help you

Fremont Parents and Guardians
As you may have seen, social media school threats continue to arise across the country. Fremont Community Schools has not been listed on any of these posts. MSD of Steuben County (Angola Schools) sent out information to their parents for a threat made towards their middle school earlier today. We will continue to monitor this situation and provide additional information when it comes available.
Please know that we take each and every threat directed towards our schools and members of our school communities very seriously. We will remain vigilant and are taking proactive steps to closely monitor the situation, actively assess any threats to our schools with the implementation of school safety plans, and increased law enforcement presence including Fremont Police Department to help keep our schools, students and staff safe.

There has been some concern from parents about head lice within the school, if you are concerned that your child may have head lice, please check your student at home and treat appropriately. Your child can also come to the nurse's office to be checked by clinic staff and parent/guardian will be notified if head lice is identified.

Parents - We would love your input on this short survey. Please take a few minutes to help us gather information so that we can make Fremont Community Schools even better.
