About Head Start:
Fremont Community Schools is a Federally funded
program for low-income families for their preschool
age children ages 3-5.
FCS Head Start provides services for free for qualifying families.
Head Start provides a successful preschool program, but also provides
nutrition, health and support services to children and their families.
Family involvement is a big part of Head Start. Parents are encouraged to attend Parent/Teacher Conferences held twice a year.
Parents can also be involved by being a Policy Council Member.

Education Information
Early childhood develpment is to provide all the children a engaging, safe, secure learning environment for them to gain confidence and skills to succeed.
Health Information
FCS Head Start commitment to wellness is to ensure that all children's health and developmental concerns are addressed.
Nutritional Information
FCS Head Start participates in the Child Adult Care Food Program providing children healthy meals and snacks during the day.
Transportation
FCS Head Start provides Bus Transportation as needed.
