Our hearts are heavy for the town of Greenfield, IA following a devastating and deadly tornado. Greenfield is home to the largest Cardinal IG facility and the largest IG fabrication site in the world. The Fremont Cardinal plant have donated to Fremont Community Schools in many different ways, so we're in return asking for help giving back to their plant in efforts to give relief to the town of Greenfield.

FHS is also now a Medallion School through the U.S. Department of State for enrolling scholarship exchange students through a program called FLEX, Future Leaders Ex-change. This program awards scholarships to students around the world who wish to study at a U.S. high school and live with a volunteer host family. FHS is set apart as having demonstrated an academic and cultural enrichment commitment for students. During the 2023-24 school year, FHS was proud to have a student through the FLEX pro-gram in Gulsum Sodikova, an exchange student from Uzbek-istan.
